Every book has a beginning that readers never see. Sometimes it starts with a photograph tucked into an old box. Sometimes it’s a conversation overheard in a grocery store, a forgotten cemetery, a winding creek, or a single sentence that refuses to leave an author’s mind.
This is where I share those beginnings.
You’ll find the inspirations behind my novels, the research that shaped them, deleted scenes that never made it into the final manuscript, photographs from places that inspired Blackwater County, character sketches, and little pieces of the writing journey that don’t belong anywhere else.
